Greek Chicken Meatballs

Make these amazing Greek chicken meatballs that are super versatile and perfect for meal prep or large parties!

Meatball Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs ground chicken (or turkey!)

  • 1/4 cup red onion - minced

  • Handful of fresh dill

  • Handful of fresh mint

  • ~1 tsp of lemon zest

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or minced garlic!)

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp cumin

  • 1/2 tsp oregano

  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (or 1 tsp if you like spice!)

Steps:

  • Add 2 packs of ground chicken to a large mixing bowl

  • To the chicken, add all other ingredients: herbs, lemon zest, onion, and spices… order does not matter :)

  • Combine all ingredients by hand (I find this easiest!)

  • With a tablespoon scoop, scoop mixture and roll by hand (trying to make them uniform size for cooking purposes)

  • Heat your pan with oil of choice and add meatballs

  • Cook for about 5 minutes or until browned on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-ish minutes

  • Shake / roll them around in pan to get the sides cooked for just another minute

  • Plate with sides of choice, I like pearled couscous and a simple greek salad (cucumber, tomato, onion, red wine vinegar, salt & pepper)

  • Top with feta, fresh mint, and tzatziki! (tzatziki recipe on sauces / dips page!)

  • Enjoy

Notes / leftovers:

These meatballs are amazing because you can get creative with them, adding essentially any add-ins you want (feta would be a great addition!)… And can be used for salads, rice bowls, or enjoyed on their own.

This recipe is perfect for health freaks on their meal prep journey or for the mothers who got impromptu dinner parties sprung on them last minute. Recipe makes ~30 meatballs and they can be popped in the freezer, cooked or uncooked, for a quick meal. You can also prep these and keep them uncooked in the fridge until you’re ready to cook!
