Chicken Shawarma Bowls

This chicken shawarma is an easy fix to another boring night of chicken and rice… (this is still chicken and rice but it is so much more.) Just make it. Put it in a pita if you want to get crazy.

Ingredients:

(For chicken seasoning)

  • 2 tsp paprika

  • 2 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp coriander

  • 1 tsp cumin

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • white onion - sliced

  • salt and pepper

(Salad)

  • cucumbers

  • tomatoes

  • red onion diced

  • parsley

  • evoo & generous amount of red wine vinegar

Directions:

  • prep chicken first to let marinate (I used 2 chicken breasts)

  • cut chicken into cubes and drizzle with evoo & add spice mix

  • prep salad and let refrigerate

  • slice 1/4-1/2 of a white onion depending on preference

  • add minced garlic and sliced onions to a pan w/ olive oil

  • once fragrant, add chicken and cook on medium heat for about

    12-15 min

  • plate with brown rice, greens, and tzatziki
